Background - Mike Henning is a nationally known advisor/speaker on family business issues. Prior to founding the HFBC in 1985, Mike earned advanced degrees from Eastern and Southern Illinois Universities. For eight years he was a high school teacher/coach and administrator. He has over thirty years experience as a successful business owner. His involvement ranges from auto parts distribution, restaurant management and real estate investment. In his twentieth year as an advisor, he has worked with nearly 300 different families. Mike is an active member of the Family Firm Institute, and his work is recognized by the Institute as a Fellow in Family Business Consultation. Mike is also a member of the National Speakers’ Association and Inscape Publishing.
